The latest episode of Drag Race UK season four delivered a shocking and emotional exit.

Last week, the season four queens showed off their improv skills on the chat show Catty Man – which was hosted by Carr.

While each of the queens delivered hilarious moments during their dramatised talk show appearances, it was Cheddar Gorgeous, Danny Beard and Pixie Polite who shined in their respective roles.

After the contestants sashayed down the runway in the “Mane Event” category, Ru declared Danny Beard as the winner of the maxi-challenge, with Baby and Sminty Drop landing in the bottom two.

After a gag-worthy lip-sync performance to Respectable by Mel & Kim, Baby was named the winner and Sminty Drop was sent home.

For their fifth maxi-challenge, the contestants were tasked with performing their very first Rusical, Lairy Poppins.

However, unlike previous Rusicals, the beloved queens were asked to tap into their “West End fantasy” and sing the musical live.

After a hilarious vocal lesson with Drag Race judge and Seduction singer Michelle Visage, the ladies hit the stage to deliver a sickening performance of the aforementioned musical.

While most of the queens gave outstanding performances, Pixie, Jonbers Blonde and Danny were particularly celebrated for their respective roles.

When the judges got to Baby and her performance, the South London talent opened up about her struggles with anxiety.

“I’ve been trying to dig myself out of that feeling, but I’ve been having a tough time. I know that I’m capable of doing this, and it’s so annoying feeling this way,” she told the judges.

In the end, Danny Beard won her third maxi-challenge and RuPeter badge – which resulted in Baby and Dakota Schiffer lip-syncing to Six: The Musical’s hit song No Way.

However, before Ru was able to name the winner of the electric performance, Baby dropped a shocking and emotional bomb on the judges.

“I’m extremely grateful for being here, but I think I need to go home and take care of myself,” she explained.

In response, Mama Ru said: “I respect that. Baby, I love you. We all love you. Take care of yourself and remember what I told you. Now. Sashay Away.”

In her exit interview with the BBC, Baby gave further insight into her shocking exit.

“Believe me, it wasn’t an easy decision. I don’t really like to quit or give up, but at that time, I knew it was the best decision for me,” Baby explained.

“I was struggling with my anxiety, and I know I needed to prioritise my wellbeing, and the best way to do that was to leave the competition, but I’m so proud I was able to have the opportunity to show my art and my heart.”

Shortly after the episode aired, fans flocked to social media to showcase their support for Baby.

One fan wrote: “Sometimes you need to step back for your own mental health. Baby made the right decision for them. End of discussion.”

Another fan tweeted: “You could see the relief on Baby… Go and take care of your gorgeous self queen.”
