Drag Race stars are rallying behind Chi Chi DeVayne, who was recently hospitalised with suspected kidney failure.

Chi Chi, who rose to fame on the eighth season of the Emmy-winning series and the third season of All Stars, is currently undergoing tests to find out why she has high blood pressure.

“They’ve said that I’m going through kidney failure,” the beloved performer told fans on Instagram.

“So tomorrow they’re going to give me a biopsy on my kidneys and let me know what it is that’s making my blood pressure so high, so I just want to say that I love you guys.”

Chi Chi spent three hours on dialysis “to see if they can get [her] kidneys back functioning”.

She added: “I let it go too long without going to the doctor and these are the consequences. Take care of your body.”

Kennedy Davenport, Chi Chi’s close friend and fellow All Stars 3 competitor, wrote on Twitter: “Send a special prayer for my baby Chi Chi Devayne.

“We need to bombard heavens gates… speak her name and thank God for his will to be done… speedy recovery baby girl.”

Trixie Mattel, winner of All Stars 3, tweeted: “I don’t believe in much but ALL the love and healing energy to Chi Chi Devayne! Flawless, stunning, and we need her back on the stripper pole in top form!”

Drag Race UK star Cheryl Hole said: “Let’s all join together and help our sister Chi Chi. If you can’t afford to donate, please send her well wishes and support during this time! WE LOVE YOU CHI CHI.”

Season 10 winner Aquaria also asked fans to consider donating to Chi Chi’s Venmo (@Zavion-Davenport), Cashapp ($ZavionDavenport) or PayPal (chichikdevayne@gmail.com) to assist with her medical expenses.

GAY TIMES wishes Chi Chi a speedy recovery.
