Darren Criss isn’t sure he’d win an award for his butt.
The actor, who many of you will recognise from his breakout role on Glee, has been winning over critics and viewers alike with his brilliant performance as Andrew Cunanan in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.
But it’s not just Darren’s acting ability that people are praising, as fans have been eating up scenes of Darren completely in the nude – some have even suggested that his butt deserves its own award.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the star was asked what receiving an Emmy for his role would mean to him.
“It would be very heartening for the work as a whole, we put a lot of love and care into this, so if that resonated with certain arbiters of taste and accolades then that would be very encouraging and validating for our hard work,” he said.
Darren then addressed the fans who have argued that his butt deserves an Emmy award, joking: “Well, that’s maybe the one thing we should campaign for, having its own category.
“Although I think I would lose. I’ve watched Game of Thrones, I feel like I’ve got a lot of stiff competition, a lot of rock hard competition.”
