Christina Aguilera has been announced as the headline performer at the Official EuroPride Valletta 2023 Concert due to take place in Malta this September.

The ‘Genie in a Bottle’ singer has been a longstanding ally of the LGBTQ+ community and will be bringing her endless stream of hits to stage for show that will be free to attend.

“Get ready to be blown away as Christina, with her powerful vocals and captivating stage presence, takes centre stage at The Granaries on September 16th,” EuroPride said in its official announcement. “This concert is all about celebrating diversity, equality, and inclusivity, bringing together people from across Europe and beyond in a vibrant display of solidarity.”

The event’s theme is ‘Equality from the Heart’ and aims to bring the Maltese and wider European LGBTQ+ community together in Malta to celebrate diversity and advocate for equal rights and a more inclusive world.

EuroPride Valletta 2023 comes as Malta topped LGBTQ+ advocacy group ILGA-Europe’s annual ‘Rainbow Europe’ index for the eighth consecutive year.

Highlights of the celebrations include the EuroPride March in Valletta on 16 September, which will be followed by the Official EuroPride Valletta 2023 Concert.

Every day there will be an array of live performances, variety shows, drag bingo, DJ sets and even a queer choir in the EuroPride Village.

Various venues in the city will also host daily events ranging from cabaret to cinema to dance.

Conferences on human rights will take place over several days, with a focus on LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplace and interfaith dialogue.
