Cher’s back with another ABBA staple.

The pop culture icon left gays around the world shaking when she announced that she’d not only be starring in musical sequel Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, she’d also be releasing an entire album of ABBA covers called Dancing Queen.

While previous singles from the record, Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight) and SOS, gave us life with vocoder-heavy vocals and poppers o’clock beats, for the third release she’s stripping it all back to basics, and the result is stunning.

Not that we’d expect any less from one of the world’s most enduring and multi-talented artists of all time, of course.

Yes, the next single from Dancing Queen is One Of Us, which also appeared in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again as a duet between Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper’s characters Sophie and Sky. We’ll leave it up to you to decide who sang it best…

Listen to Cher’s cover of One Of Us below.

Cher will release her new covers album Dancing Queen on 28 September. The collection was recorded and produced in London and Los Angeles with her longtime collaborator Mark Taylor, who produced her 90s global smash hit Believe.

“I’ve always liked Abba and saw the original Mamma Mia musical on Broadway three times,” said Cher.

“After filming Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, I was reminded again of what great and timeless songs they wrote and started thinking, ‘Why not do an album of their music?’

“The songs were harder to sing than I imagined but I’m so happy with how the music came out. I’m really excited for people to hear it. It’s a perfect time.”
