Channel 5

The upcoming episode of Blind Date will feature drag queens for the first time in history.

Channel 5’s relaunch of the iconic show – which sees Paul O’Grady take over from the late Cilla Black – will be upped a notch on the sickening scale this Saturday (28 July) with an appearance from three fabulous drag queen contestants.

Shyanne O’Shea from Essex, Trampagne from Portsmouth and Anna Phylactic from Manchester will be vying for the attention of criminologist Luke, who will reportedly be unaware that his potential dates are drag performers.

In a statement, O’Grady said: “I’m so happy that we have included drag queens on this series of Blind Date. It’s about time – it is 2018 after all. Having been a drag artiste myself, I’m very proud to be part of this Blind Date first.”

Make sure to tune in this Saturday at 8pm on Channel 5.
