Manchester Pride have announced an incredible lineup this year.

Pop superstar Ariana Grande, who was named an honorary Mancunian after hosting the massive One Love Manchester charity concert in 2017, will return to the city to headline the new Manchester Pride Live event on Sunday 25 August.

She’ll be joined by British synth pop band Years & Years, fronted by former Gay Times cover star Olly Alexander, who’ll bring hits like If You’re Over Me, Play and King to the stage on Saturday 24 August.

“This year marks a big change for the festival as it continues to evolve,” said Mark Fletcher, CEO of Manchester Pride.

“Previously we had one event running over the weekend and this year we have two, each with a distinct offering. At Manchester Pride Live we’re truly honoured to be welcoming Ariana back to the city to help us celebrate LGBT+ life.

“My team and I have worked hard to create a diverse lineup of performers who will join her in helping us continue to make a difference to the lives of LGBT+ people and celebrate the unity that exists in our brilliant city.”

Other artists set to perform over the weekend include Kim Petras, Bananarama, Louisa, Lady Leshurr, Chelcee Grimes, Becky Hill, Liberty X, Pixie Lott, Hercules and Love Affair, Youngr, and Four of Diamonds.

DJs and dance-based performers include Basement Jaxx, Nicky Siano: Hallelujah Disco, Gok Wan, Rhythm of the 90s, We Love Pop, Jodie Harsh, Hercules and Love Affair, K-Klass Live and Faithless.
