The shortlist for the 2018 NatWest British LGBT Awards have been announced, with some of the most well known LGBTQ activists, artists and allies all nominated.

Cara Delevingne, Laverne Cox, Demi Lovato and Matt Lucas are all up for LGBT+ Celebrity, while Frank Ocean, Troye Sivan, Dua Lipa and Jess Glynne will battle it out for Music Artist.

Munroe Bergdorf, Riyadh Khalaf, Tommy Dorfman and Dr. Ranj Singh have all been mentioned in the Online Influencer category, while Australia voting “Yes” for equal marriage, Olly Alexander’s BBC documentary Growing Up Gay, the return of Will and Grace, and gay animated short film In A Heartbeat are all in the running for Media Moment.

Elsewhere, Harry Styles, David Beckham, Ariana Grande and Nick Jonas have all been nominated for the Celebrity Straight Ally award.

“The 2018 NatWest British LGBT Awards shortlist showcases a range public figures and famous straight allies who use their platform to enhance the rights of the LGBT community,” said Sarah Garrett, British LGBT Awards founder.

“The ceremony on 11 May is set to be the biggest British LGBT Awards to date.”

The 2018 NatWest British LGBT Awards will take place at London’s Marriott Grosvenor Square on 11 May, where all of the of the winners will be announced.
