Say hello to Doctor Endless.

They are reported to be DC Comics’ first ever gender fluid character when they appear in the forthcoming Suicide Squad: The Black Files #1 in August, according to Bleeding Cool.

We are living for Doctor Endless’s trench coat – especially that multi-coloured interior.

Doctor Endless has pulled their look from the Sandman’s Endless characters, which of course was created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Keith, and Mike Dringenberg.

A synopsis for the new comic series reads: “Sebastian Faust, the U.S. government’s top arcane operative, has gone rogue!

“To track down America’s most dangerous magician, Amanda Waller assembles a special ops team unlike any other: an expendable coven of dark arts experts including El Diablo, Enchantress and Gentleman Ghost.

“They are Suicide Squad Black, and they will take you to places where even the dead can die!”

Doctor Endless is said to be the foremost magical expert for the American government.

You can expect to hear more about Doctor Endless when Comic-Con kicks off in San Diego later this month on 19 July.
