Hello, tight speedos… Ricky Martin sizzles in first-look American Crime Story photos

As if we weren’t excited enough already!

After the news that Ryan Murphy’s Hurricane Katrina-focused season of American Crime Story would be bumped back in favour of a season about the Versace family, the promotion wheel has been in full swing.

The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story will tell the true story of the death of legendary fashion designer Gianni, who was murdered by Andrew Cunanan on the steps of his home in 1997.

To celebrate, Entertainment weekly have released an American Crime Story-themed cover, as well as some brand new first-look shots of the main cast in action, and it all looks as gloriously garish as we expected.

Edgar Ramirez will play Gianni in the show, and former Glee star Darren Criss will play Andrew. Elsewhere, Ricky Martin will play Gianni’s lover Antonio D’Amico, while Penélope Cruz will take on Donatella Versace.

Of course, our favourite photo is of Ricky in nothing but a speedo and a signature Versace bath robe…

But it’s not just Ricky who’ll be donning skimpy swimwear for the show, as Darren recently appeared on set wearing a tiny red speedo – and if his recent naked selfie is anything to go by, he might be showing off even more…

The mini-series will follow last year’s critically-acclaimed first season, The People v. O.J. Simpson – much like it’s spooky counterpart American Horror Story, the show tells a different story with different characters each season.

The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story will air in early 2018.

You can see the full set of first-look photos over on Entertainment Weekly’s website.
