Good evening, Europe! Lucie Jones gives us all the Eurovision gossip…

Gay Times

It’s Eurovision week!

This year, the UK’s Eurovision Song Contest hopes fall to singer Lucie Jones.

The musician and stage actress – who’s currently playing Maureen in the UK tour of queer musical Rent – will take to the Ukrainian stage this coming Saturday to sing Never Give Up On You, a power ballad that’s co-penned by former Eurovision winner Emmelie de Forest.

Lucie was chosen to represent the UK after winning Eurovision: You Decide live from London.

Gay Times spoke with Lucie to find out how she became involved with the 2017 competition; how she’ll be performing her song on the night; and what really is her favourite Eurovision song of all time?

Spoiler: She gives a good answer (and even sings!)
