Modern Love has received its first official trailer.

The upcoming Amazon Prime series, which is based on the weekly column published by The New York Times, explores “love in its multitude of forms – including sexual, romantic, familial, platonic, and self love”.

It features an ensemble cast with stars such as: Anne Hathaway, Andrew Scott, Sofia Boutella, Tina Fey, Andy Garcia, Sam Masto, Dev Patel, Jane Alexander, Gary Carr, Olivia Cooke and Brandon Victor Dixon.

Deep breath for more star power: John Gallagher Jr., Julia Garner, Brandon Kyle Goodman, Catherine Keener, Caitlin McGee, Cristin Milioti, Laurentiu Possa, James Saito, John Slattery and Shea Whigham.

The trailer for the anthology comedy shows the characters as they deal with love and heartbreak. Scott and Dixon star as a same-sex couple who take in a pregnant woman – played by Cooke.

Sharon Horgan (Catastrophe), Tom Hall (Sensation) and Emmy Rossum (Shameless) all directed episodes of the John Carney-written series, which is produced by Amazon Studios, Storied Media Group and The New York Times.
