Emma Bunton is making her long overdue return to music.

While a brand new Spice Girls album may not be on the cards ahead of the girl group’s highly-anticipated reunion tour, fans will be ecstatic to hear that Emma (aka Baby Spice) is here to satiate those pop cravings.

Back with her first new single in 13 years, Baby Please Don’t Stop is a swinging 60s-influenced bop that’s sure to delight fans of previous retro-sounding hits like Maybe and Downtown.

Elsewhere, Emma has announced a brand new album, My Happy Place, which will be released on 12 April.

“The reason I called the album My Happy Place is because my happy place is with my family, with my friends, listening to music and being in the studio,” she said.

“All those things came together on this album. While recording it my kids came to the studio, my friends came down, my mum listened to every song over and over again. Being in the studio I just feel so happy.”

The album is a collection of 10 songs recorded over the past two years, including two original tracks, Baby Please Don’t Stop and Too Many Teardrops, as well as collaborations with Will Young, Josh Kumra, and fiancé Jade Jones.

It will also feature a new version of fan favourite Spice Girls single 2 Become 1, with vocals from Robbie Williams.
