This is how you celebrate an engagement in style.

Over the weekend at the Sycamore Tavern in Los Angeles, adorable couple Alex Goldschmidt and Ross Girard celebrated their engagement with loved ones and a very special guest: pop superstar Taylor Swift.

“I want to thank all of you guys for being here,” Alex told the room. “I put a lot of secrets on your plate … but there is one secret that I didn’t trust any of you with, and there was a person who’s not here who sort of played a part in all of this.

“So if you would give a warm welcome to my friend Taylor!”

In walked Taylor with her trusty guitar before hugging the two guys and giving them a one-of-a-kind acoustic performance. Can you imagine?

Turns out, Alex had reached out to the singer-songwriter about their engagement, explaining that her song King Of My Heart had a special meaning to them, as he’d recently proposed to Ross while the song was playing in his car.

“This is from Alex, but song by me,” Taylor said to the overjoyed couple.

According to Life & Style, the Shake It Off singer gifted the couple with a giant candle and handwritten note, and didn’t charge a penny for the performance. We love a generous queen.

“I have never felt so overwhelmed with love and exhaustion in my life,” Alex wrote on Twitter following the video’s release.

“Thank you for all the messages. I can’t possible respond to them all, but know that your love and support means the world to me. And holy shit, Taylor Swift is an angel who gives the best gifts.”
