Rihanna slams Donald Trump for playing her music at rallies

“Me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies.”

Rihanna has slammed President Donald Trump for playing her music at his political rallies.

The acclaimed performer responded to a tweet by White House Bureau Chief, Philip Rucker, who posted: “It’s been said a million times, but here’s a million and one – Trump’s rallies are unlike anything else in politics.”

Rucker, who currently covers the Trump administration for The Washington Post, continued: “Currently, Rihanna’s “Don’t Stop the Music” is blaring in Chattanooga as aides toss free Trump T-shirts into the crowd, like a ball game. Everyone’s loving it.”

Rihanna – who was having none of it – replied: “Not for much longer… me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies, so thanks for the heads up Philip!”

Last week, Pharrell Williams also blasted Trump for playing his song Happy on the day of the Pittsburgh synagogue massacre.

His lawyers issued a cease and desist letter, which read: “Pharrell has not, and will not, grant you permission to publicly perform or otherwise broadcast or disseminate any of his music.

“There was nothing ‘happy’ about the tragedy inflicted upon our country on Saturday and no permission was granted for you use of this song for this purpose.”
