Tommy Genesis has debuted the video for 100 Bad, the lead single from her upcoming debut album.

The self-described “fetish rapper” directed and edited the eye-popping video, which sees the Canadian artist sprawled out on the floor with several puppies, surrounded by tampons, popping champagne, finger painting a wall etc.

In Tommy’s own words: “The 100 Bad music video turned out brighter than I expected.

“For the chorus it was either puppies or girls, the tampon scene is sort of my DIY take on Kelis laying in candy, the cash scene is a direct reference to Tracey Emin’s “I want it all”.

“The outro is a champagne ejaculation and it’s supposed to make you uncomfortable. It’s a commentary on the male gaze.”

Tommy’s untitled debut album is due for release later this year.

Her debut mixtape, World Vision, received acclaim from Vogue, The FADER, Dazed, Elle, W and PAPER. The project provided us with several ah-mah-zeng bops such as Hate Demon, Potato Head and Execute.

She’s also garnered significant praise for her chirpy reggae banger Lucky and rap-trap track, Tommy.

100 Bad is now available on iTunes and streaming services.
