The Queen of Pop paid tribute to the LGBTQ community as thousands marched in the streets during New York City Pride over the weekend.

Madonna missed out on the celebrations in the Big Apple as she’s currently in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon where she continues to work on new music for her upcoming album.

“Until I can Share MY music……. I’m sending Love from Lisbon!” she posted on Instagram along with a video of herself singing along to Clean Bandit and Demi Lovato’s Solo.

“Missing NY and the fierceness of the LGBT community that gave me life from the moment I landed there!! For Me, Pride Month is every month!

“This [Queen] bows down to every Gay Boy that taught me a new dance, how to dress, how to drag, how to slay, to stand tall in the face of adversity, to not give up hope, to own my inner bitch and to love my flaws!”

Meanwhile, the pop icon performed new song Beautiful Game at the Met Gala earlier last month, along with her classic hit Like A Prayer.

Lyrics on the new track include: “It’s a beautiful plan, but I’m not concerned / It’s a beautiful game, that I never learned / You have taught me to shut my mouth, that I not get burned / Keep your beautiful lies, ‘cause I’m not concerned.”

Madge has been back in the studio with Mirwais recently, who produced the whole of her 2003 collection American Life, as well as helping her to create classic hit Don’t Tell Me.

Madonna’s 14th studio album will serve as follow-up to 2015’s Rebel Heart, which reached No.2 on both the UK and US charts.

We know it’s rude to mention a lady’s age, but with Madonna celebrating her 60th birthday this August, what better time than to remind everyone who still rules the charts than with a huge new pop record?
