Laverne Cox, who most of you will know from her breakout role as trans inmate Sophia Burset on Netflix’s hit series Orange Is The New Black, has gone public with her boyfriend of nine months, and we’re feeling a little bit jealous.
While she’s not yet revealed his name, the actress shared a photo of them together on Instagram stories, along with 14 love heart emojis – just in case the message wasn’t clear.
Speaking to Access Hollywood last month, Laverne revealed that she was “in love” with a man she met on Tinder.
“It’s incredible, it really is” she said. “It’s like love is so incredibly healing. It’s weird talking about this on TV, but I’m just so happy. When you’re happy, like… love is life-saving.”
“I’ve met his parents too, everybody gets along, his family’s amazing, my mom likes him – it’s good!”
She also spoke about meeting him on dating app Tinder.
“I’m a Tinder girl. When I broke up with my ex, I went back on Tinder, because I feel like if you want to date, you have to be on the apps. You have to be on the apps to be in the game.”
