This may have been the most controversial finale in Drag Race HERstory…

Drag Race hennies are positively cooped, gooped, gagged, wig and slain etc with the All Stars 3 finale, which has proven to be one of the most controversial conclusions and crownings in the show’s HERstory.

This week, the final four queens wrote, sung, and danced in an ambitious production number to RuPaul’s song, Kitty Girl. Todrick Hall accompanied the queens with choreography, and revealed that the whole music video will be shot in one-take throughout the Drag Race set. See? Ambitious.

The top four gave one of the most incredible, high-energy performances in all twelve seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race – with lyrics so memorable they may (eventually) rival Read U Wrote U – before they sashayed, shantayed and panthered down the runway in their best drag.

After the judges praised the queens and their journeys throughout the season, Mama Ru dropped another gag-worthy twist – the eliminated queens decide the top two All Stars, and will hear the queen’s testimonies as they sit on a jury.

The scorned queens deliberated and Morgan McMichaels announced Kennedy Davenport and Trixie Mattel as the top two All Stars, eliminating Bebe Zahara Benet and Shangela, despite the latter winning the most challenges and lip-syncs.

Trixie and Kennedy lip-synced to Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball, and RuPaul announced the winner of All Stars 3… Trixie Mattel!

As with any season, the winner has sparked debate amongst fans.

Take a look at the Reddit and Twitter reactions below…

Lisnya: There is no way Trixie deserves this crown. It’s going to be Bendela’s no matter what but, surely, Shangie deserves it more than Trixie.

SnoozEBear: I don’t even. And can’t even. I don’t think I’ve ever been so unreasonably angry at a tv show before. For Shangela to not make it to the top two is a fucking travesty.

geralehane: is trixie the worst winner ever? of course not. is she the most deserving out of this cast? well, she’s not that, either. i am trying to be happy for her but i’m just so damn sad shangela was blocked from making it to the top 2.

JuanitaDiamondez: They really picked Kennedy over Shangela? Really?! Like no hate towards Kennedy but damn, Shangie fought and earned her top two spot and she should have been able to fight for it. Not fair.

gvf77: When the season started Trixie was my pick for the crown, I had a feeling she was going to be the winner no matter what happened in the season. But after watching this season, I felt like Shangela REALLY deserved it. I’m so shocked she didn’t even make top two.

rigamorrissgirl: Shangela’s face when she realized she was not in the top 2 was earth shattering. I hadn’t really wanted to think the season was rigged prior to today but after the jury made their choices it seemed pretty clear it was all setting up a Trixie success story.

totallypandacoffee: People keep saying Kennedy clearly won the lip sync so I feel like I’m gonna be murdered for saying this…but I’m so glad that Trixie won it. I’m glad emoting won over very impressive dancing.

katyasthworp: Yeah, Shangie was robbed but is that Trixie’s fault? Trix did a great job in the lip sync and imo earned the win right then and there. Shangela should’ve been top two with her, but it really isn’t Trixie’s fault that she wasn’t.

So Kitty Girls, what do we think?

Are we happy that Trixie Mattel won the coveted title of America’s Next Drag Superstar? Should it have gone to Shangela, who technically had the best track record in the top four? Or was dancing diva Kennedy Davenport, and “pussy bitch” Bebe Zahara Benet more deserving of the crown?

Well, we can all agree on one thing… the Kitty Girl performance was MASSIVE (and you can stream it now on Spotify btw).
