The Emmy nominated star will make his stand-up debut on the streaming platform.

American actor Billy Eichner has bagged his first ever comedy special, and it’s headed to Netflix.

Eichner’s special is described as a unique blend of comedy and music that will cover politics, pop culture, and will also include brand-new editions of his Emmy-nominated series, Billy on the Street.

The series left truTV in September, and is actively seeking a new network. Billy on the Street followed Eichner on the streets of New York as he asked pedestrians questions about pop culture. It was absolutely hilarious, so we’re excited to see it return in some form.

He also received acclaim from critics for his dark comedy series, Difficult People, which was cancelled by Hulu after three seasons.

Despite his comedy roots, you’ll most probably recognise Eichner from his stint on American Horror Story: Cult, where he played the gay (psychotic) husband of Leslie Grossman’s character.

Oh, and he’s set to voice Timon in the upcoming live-action remake of The Lion King.
