Hillary Clinton campaigns for LGBT equality in new video

Clinton campaign

‘Equality is about changing hearts and minds.’

With voting in the US presidential election only weeks away, both candidates are raiding their war chests in order to buy as much ad spend as humanly possible.

The latest instalment from the Clinton campaign is firmly angled at the LGBT vote, and the progress the Democratic party has made, and hopes to continue to make, in equal rights.

“Equality is of course about passing laws,” Secretary Clinton says at the start of the ad, “But it is also is about changing hearts and minds.”

“We need to build an America where no one has to worry, that they can get married on Saturday and be fired on Monday.

“Where kids aren’t bullied, just because of who they are. And every American has the opportunity to live up to his or her god given potential – no matter who they are or who they love”
