Jackie Chan’s daughter comes out in adorable online post

His daughter, Etta Ng, revealed the news earlier this week by surrounding herself with a rainbow background.

The 18-year-old has since received over 700 likes on the poster and over 200 comments, each commending her bravery and wishing her great success in the future. One user wrote: “Be true to yourself and happiness will naturally follow.”

Another adding: “It is really courageous of you two to come out. The way the Chinese and HongKong media treat you two are so wrong, they are too idiotic to see how big the world really is, and too bigot to be respectful to others. I hope the best for you two, and love wins.”

She captioned the photo: “#lgbtqai #lgbt #lesbian#androgynous

On the same day, online influencer Andi Autumn posted about Etta in which she addressed discrimination the pair have faced in the post – acknowledging that they will wake up next to each other in the future.

“I’ve never met anyone like @stolenmilktea . She has given me a chance to fully express the running thoughts in my head. No judgements, just understanding,” the post begins.

“Everything was against us. We’ve been pushed down again and again but its worth it knowing we will get through it together, side by side. Skip past all of the difficulties we’ve had this year, we are finally heading in the right direction, we have a path.

“We’ve encountered a lot of discrimination from family, friends, and the Hong Kong society. We are living in such an international city and yet so many people have their minds closed off. But none of it matters when I know every morning your going to be next to me. I love you.”

The pair are yet to confirm officially if they’re dating.

What an incredibly brave and powerful thing to do.
