After all that marching and before all that dancing you’re going to be doing at Pride in London, you’re going to need to keep those energy levels up with a bite to eat.

Lucky for all the revellers heading to the capital to celebrate all things LGBT+ on 8 July, there are plenty of colourful and shimmering special edition dishes ready satisfy your appetite.

From multicoloured houmous to a glittery pink burger, eating out at Pride has never been so fabulously gay.

Gay Times rounds up some the best on offer below.

MEATliquor’s Dead Happie burger

For this Pride season only, MEATliquor’s iconic Dead Hippie burger gets a big gay makeover to become the Dead Happie.

Cased in a pink bun and edible glitter, it promises to taste as fabulous as it looks. Even better, when it goes on sale from 8 July, £1 from every order through Deliveroo will go directly to LGBT+ campaigners Stonewall.

MEATliquor will also be joining in with the Pride celebrations on 8 July by setting up a pop-up stand in Trafalgar Square where revellers can get their hands on the limited edition tasty pink buns.

YoSushi’s Rainbow Sushi

This is one for all you fishy queens out there: from 26 June until 8 July, YoSushi will be serving their Rainbow Sushi dish exclusively through Deliveroo.

Expect your rolls to turn up in an array of loud and proud colours.

The Real Greek’s Rainbow Houmous

Even chickpeas are getting in on the Pride celebrations…

The Real Greek in Soho will be offering Rainbow Houmous on 8 July, serving up a plate of multicoloured dip alongside free crudités.

It will be made up of natural ingredients including spinach, yellow pepper and turmeric, red pepper and beetroot.

Bubbledogs’ Purple Rain hotdogs

It’ll come as no surprise to you all that here at Gay Times we’re partial to a good sausage…

For one day only on 8 July, Bubbledogs will be celebrating Pride with their Purple Rain glittery hotdog.

Just like MEATliquor, they’ll also be selling the limited edition dish in Trafalgar Square.

Poppies Pale Ale

Based in the heart of Soho, Poppies will be celebrating Pride by running a pink-labelled limited edition of its recently launched pale ale.

The colour tone has been chosen to match the former Pink Paper, which was one of the biggest LGBT publications in the UK before it switched to online in 2009, and then closed in 2012.

What’s more, Poppies Soho will also be serving their incredible fish and chips in pink newspaper too.

OSLO Hackney’s Rainbow Salad

For those of you on a health kick this Pride season, OSLO Hackney have got you covered.

The east London restaurant/bar/gig venue have launched a Rainbow Salad for the duration of London Pride (24 June to 9 July), with £1 from each purchase to be donated to the UK Lesbian and Gay Immigration Group.

What’s in it we hear you ask? Cherry tomatoes, pepper, carrot, feta cheese, cucumber, spinach, red cabbage, olive oil, seasoning and a homemade basil oil dressing. Marvellous.

Honest Burgers’ Pride Burger

Honest Burgers have teamed up with The Gay Farmer to offer a limited edition Pride burger between 24 June to 9 July.

The dish – which will be available at the Soho and Oxford Circus branches of the restaurant – is made up of beef, crispy pancetta, mozzarella, the Gay Farmer pesto and marinara sauce. Delicious stuff.

Oh and £1 from every sale of the special burger will go to LGBT+ charity Stonewall.
