Fitness First to open their gyms to the public for free

Fitness First are teaming up with Instagram sensations, Zanna Van Dijk, Clean Eating Alice and Bradley Simmonds to open their gym doors for free to the public.

This ‘Red Monday’, 16 January – which is usually known as ‘Blue Monday’ – Fitness First will team up with the trio in the hope of elevating everyone’s mood by opening their gyms to the public for free.

The Instagram stars will be hitting up three locations in London to teach Fitness First’s new exclusive class SHRED.

SHRED is known as speed, high-intensity, resistance, endurance, and dynamic.

Instagram star and personal trainer, Bradley Simmonds, said: “The new SHRED workout is rewarding in terms of calorie burn, strength and conditioning and cardiovascular – this programme is going to make you sweat! Results don’t come from nothing, results come from hard work and with hard work you can achieve anything – even in January!”

Blue Monday traces back to 2005 when UK psychologist, Cliff Arnall, created the push we all need if we’ve been slacking on our New Year’s resolution in getting that summer body.

Arnall performed a study resulting in that we are most depressed and least active on the third Monday of January due to holiday debt, failed resolutions, and even the lack of sunshine.

Instagram star, Zanna Van Dijk, comments: “Red Monday encompasses my whole message of developing lasting physical and mental strength and I love the fact Fitness First is giving people a platform to kick start their new year in the right way.

“I’ve learnt that hard work, consistency and determination can help you reach your goals and I want to inspire people to feel strong, confident and healthy no matter what time of year it is.”

If you want to head to one of their SHRED classes, visit their Instagram commenting with the tag #RedMondayFF as well as tagging one friend.
