Virgin Trains are flying the flag for the LGBTQ community with a brand new Pride train.

The rail company have announced their #RideWithPride campaign, which sees the introduction of a bold new rainbow-coloured train which will take customers up and down the UK over the summer.

As well as travelling around the country, the train will also visit all Pride events along the Virgin Trains route on the west coast this summer – that’s London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Liverpool, and its first destination Birmingham.

“We’re really proud of the diversity of our people. It’s part of what makes Virgin Trains amazing,” said Sarah Copley, executive director sponsor for Virgin Trains west coast’s pride.

“The #RideWithPride train looks great and I have loved being here at Birmingham Pride today with so many colleagues and customers enjoying the celebrations at the UK’s biggest two-day Pride festival.”

To celebrate Birmingham Pride over the May bank holiday weekend, Virgin’s #RideWithPride train carried customers and staff to the annual festivities in style, with a party atmosphere involving face paint, rainbow cakes and flag waving.

Virgin have also released a map highlighting the dates for Pride events along their west coast route.
