“Sam… he’s insanely pretty. Find a way.”

Sally Field has long been a staunch supporter for LGBTQ rights, receiving HRC’s “Ally for Equality” Award in 2012. She’s also a recipient of three Emmys, two Golden Globes and two Academy Awards. So, yas, she’s an LGBTQ ambassador *and* an acclaimed, legendary actress.

Over the weekend, Sally proved she could add ‘matchmaker’ to her resumé after she tried setting her son up with the Olympic figure skater on everybody’s lips… Adam Rippon.

Her son – Sam Greisman – posted a screenshot of a conversation with his mother, in which they discuss the 28-year-old athlete.

“Sam… he’s insanely pretty. Find a way,” she advised. Alongside the tweet, Sam said: “Just some really helpful advice from my mom on how to deal with my Olympic crush.”

This prompted the Mrs Doubtfire actress – in a typical mum move – to retweet her son, tagging Adam Rippon.

As if you couldn’t love her more… See the tweets below.

This is a romance we could definitely get behind…

Earlier this year, Adam became the first openly gay athlete from Team USA to qualify for the games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and earned a bronze medal in the men’s individual with a stunning performance to Coldplay’s O.

His relationship with fellow out athlete Gus Kensworthy also made headlines when they shared a kiss in defiance of Mike Pence – and the internet went wild.

Last month, the Olympian said he’d refuse a meeting with US Vice President Mike Pence because of his anti-LGBTQ record.

“You mean Mike Pence, the same Mike Pence that funded gay conversion therapy? I’m not buying it,” Rippon said to USA Today.

“If it were before my event, I would absolutely not go out of my way to meet somebody who I felt has gone out of their way to not only show that they aren’t a friend of a gay person but that they think that they’re sick.

“I wouldn’t go out of my way to meet somebody like that.”

Rippon added: “I don’t think he has a real concept of reality. To stand by some of the things that Donald Trump has said and for Mike Pence to say he’s a devout Christian man is completely contradictory.

“If he’s okay with what’s being said about people and Americans and foreigners and about different countries that are being called ‘shitholes,’ I think he should really go to church.”

The 2018 Winter Olympics is currently taking place in Pyeongchang, South Korea between 9-25 February.
