Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer leaves fans with so many questions

The new Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer is a thing of beauty.

We’ve waited nearly two years to find out what happens after the dramatic final scenes of A Force Awakens, and it looks like we should now expect the unexpected.

Yes, Rey is with Luke Skywalker on a distant world doing some all-important Jedi training. And yes, Kylo Ren has patched up his lightsaber-inflicted face wound. But the new trailer brings up so many more questions.

“When I found you, I saw raw, untamed power, and beyond that, something truly special,” we hear Snoke boom. But is he speaking to Kylo Ren or – shock horror – Rey?

We get our first proper glimpse of the big bad too, hinting that we may finally get some answer to who he actually is and what his grand plan might be.

Then there’s Luke Skywalker and his stark warning: “I’ve seen this raw strength only once before. It didn’t scare me enough then. It does now.”

Could Luke abandon Rey, fearful of her incredible potential to use The Force?

It certainly leads nicely into the more shocking of the potential revelations in the trailer, which seemingly shows Rey considering joining the Dark Side.

Or could she even be at one with both sides of The Force?

“Fulfil your destiny,” Snoke commands, as it cuts to a distressed Rey battling with immense power.

We also get to see the late Carrie Fisher in her last outing as General Leia Organa, as she anxiously braces herself to be blown up by her own son Kylo Ren. But does he go through with it?

We also see Finn face off with Captain Phasma in what looks like an epic battle scene, so we’ll have to wait to see who comes off better after that.

But the biggest question we’re left with after all of this is: how and when can we get our hands on a Porg?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be in cinemas worldwide on 15 December.
