The openly gay vicar is the latest celeb confirmed…

TV presenter, and former 80s music star, Reverend Richard Coles has been confirmed for the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing.

His involvement on the show was revealed on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show, where Coles regularly contributes to Pause for Thought.

On his signing, he said: “Cometh the hour, cometh the overweight Vicar with arthritis in his knees.”

Coles joins Saturdays singer Mollie King, EastEnders hunk Davood Ghadami, Loose Women presenter Ruth Langsford, and former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale actress Gemma Atkinson as this year’s confirmed celebs.

The start date for the 15th (!) series of Strictly Come Dancing has yet to be announced, but it’s likely to be towards the end of September.

In other Strictly news, Craig Revel Horwood recently joined the cast of Annie as Miss Hannigan for 10 weeks.
