Listen to Fifth Harmony’s fierce new song Angel

“Who said I was an angel?”

Fifth Harmony have teased their forthcoming self-titled album with a fierce new song.

Angel – which is available to stream and download now – hears the four-piece sass it up over clicking hip-hop beats and electronic-tinged wobbles.

It serves the follow-up of their latest single Down, which was released back in June.

After the departure of Camila Cabello, the group explained that they searched for a new sound for their new era, adding that this album means more to them than anything before.

“We’re really experimenting with a lot of different sounds,” Ally Brooke said in an interview with Billboard. “We have some strong pop melodies but also dark urban sounds with some flavour too.”

She went on to say that there are going to be some R&B flares and it’s going to be an exciting album as the audience are going to be able to hear the group’s different elements.

Normani Kordei added that they were more creatively involved in the self-titled album by co-writing more than half of the new tracks.

Fifth Harmony’s new album will be released on 25 August.
