In the lead up to Penguin Pride at Proud Galleries in Camden on 5 July, we’re highlighting some of the incredible queer voices of the literary world.
One such voice, Keith Jarrett, has recorded an exclusive reading of his poem “A New Spelling of My Name” for Gay Times and Penguin.
We got the chance to hang out with Keith earlier this month alongside fellow Penguin Pride at Proud performer Toby Campion. The pair went through their influences and the importance of finding your voice in a noisy world. You can check out that video below:
Filling the space at Proud Galleries with panel discussions, live readings and spoken word performances, Penguin Pride at Proud will also feature a specially curated photography exhibition in association with Stonewall. There will also be an exclusive performance from superstar headliner Kele Okereke (Bloc Party) on the main stage.
