Colton Haynes says he was forced to date women by Hollywood management

His relationship with Lauren Conrad? Yep, all made up.

Colton Haynes has revealed the extent of how much he was told to act straight in Hollywood in order to have a successful career.

The 28-year-old actor – who publicly came out last year – explained that his management would fabricate fake relationships with famous women in order to keep his true sexuality a secret.

“I was literally told from the day that I moved to Los Angeles that I could not be gay because I wouldn’t work,” Colton told Andy Cohen on his Sirius XM radio.

“The I was with my management team and team of people that just literally told me I couldn’t be this way.”

“They tried to set me up with girls. I was rumoured to date Lauren Conrad for six months because they were kind of angling a story.”

Colton admitted that some of the women he was linked to knew that he was gay, but ultimately keeping his sexuality a secret for so long gave him anxiety attacks.

Since coming out last year, the star has gotten engaged to florist Jeff Leatham and has heavily hinted that he is about to become a dad.
