Will Dame Joan Collins be a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing this year?

… well, possibly!

Dame Joan has reportedly been approached by the bosses of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing to appear on the show this year, reports The Sun.

If true, she would be the oldest contestant on the Saturday night show yet at the fabulous age of 80 (plus a little bit extra). The television icon previously revealed that she can indeed still do the splits. Now there’s a reason to watch! Fabulous.

The Dynasty legend is a fan of the blockbuster show, having previously tweeted about it last year.

A source explained: “She’d bring plenty of glitz and old-school glamour to the dance floor, and she’s full of energy.” Later adding: “She’d be a real draw with older viewers too. The bosses are going all out to get her to sign up.”

On the news, the BBC sadly refused to comment, saying: “We do not comment on speculation.”

Strictly Come Dancing 2016 was won by Ore Oduba.

All those sequins and all those dancer bums – Dame Joan, we just can’t see the appeal.
