Geri Horner has confirmed the Spice Girls reunion – or at least three of them – is back on.

Geri, Emma and Mel B, now working under the title of Spice Girls GEM, left fans disappointed when plans for their reunion were put on hold earlier this year.

However, Geri has confirmed that the trio will be re-forming, though she hasn’t yet put a date on it.

Geri revealed: “We’re not re-forming immediately, but in the near future.”

Whilst Geri’s pregnancy was supposedly the reasoning behind pulling the brakes on the reunion, a source told The Sun that Mel B’s relationship with Stephen Belafonte, which ended in March, also played a role in the delay.

According to the report, Stephen was “always an unnerving presence” but vowed that the “fun will return” now that they are set to divorce.

The trio had previously announced they were reforming in July last year to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut single Wannabe.

Then, in November, a track recorded by the three of them entitled Song For Her leaked online to very mixed reviews from their fans.

Emma explained: “This is not a single, it’s just that we’re creating, having fun in the studio. It’s just a demo and somehow it has got out there.”
