The One Show team did their bit for Red Nose Day on Saturday night by taking to the stage to perform a Lady Gaga classic on BBC One’s Let’s Sing and Dance For Comic Relief.
However, the BBC have come under fire from viewers after it cut the hit’s inclusive lyrics, “No matter gay, straight, or bi, lesbian, transgendered life.”
It comes weeks after the broadcaster was criticised for cutting the exact same lyrics from Born This Way on Gary Barlow’s boyband talent show Let It Shine.
Viewers were not impressed that the channel decided to cut the important lyrics once again.

That being said, the lyric “don’t be a drag, just be a queen” was included in the performance. How could it not be when three of the male presenters got in drag for the show.

When the BBC responded to the outrage caused by Iron Sun omitting the inclusive lyrics on Let It Shine last month, they explained that they had to remove the line due to time constraints.
However, they were then forced to give a more in-depth explanation after fans pointed out that the first chorus was repeated again so they could have easily sang the second chorus instead.
