The drag movie you’ve been waiting for is on its way

When life drags you down, drag it up. Following a pivotal year for LGBT rights with the legalisation of same-sex marriage in Ireland and the U.S.A, award-winning filmmaker Zoe Davis has created the drag movie you’ve been waiting for.

FIERCE! The Movie is a feature documentary following British drag queens and kings on their way to the first international drag festival in Texas earlier this year. With Courtney Act, La Voix, MAX, Pandora Boxx, Baga Chipz and Tammie Brown candids, the movie is set to be a cinematic experience to show the integrity of the drag community.

“Who came first, the chicken or the egg? Is it Gary or Shiann?” one queen adds in the trailer.

GT went to see the queens in action and spoke to the film’s director, Zoe Davis: “Drag queens have been at the forefront of LGBT equality, all the way back since the stonewall riots.”

She tells us that making Fierce was a means to honour “their art and lives and culture.

“I want to give them a voice,” Zoe tells us.

The film needs community donations though, with £43,000 yet to be raised.

The LGBT documentary has already been supported by LogoTV, Stonewall and Amnesty International.
