The Defenders are coming! Here’s your first look at the Marvel heroes together

Netflix

It’s only a matter of months before Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist join forces to form The Defenders for an all-star Netflix series, but we have the first look of them together in action below.

After three years of each character kicking ass in their own shows – well, Iron Fist is yet to prove what he’s got this March – New York City’s band of heroes will team up for a miniseries later in 2017.

But how do they actually come together for the series? By total surprise, according to showrunner Marco Ramirez.

“Every one of them is following their own trail of breadcrumbs, trying to unpack a mystery in New York,” Ramirez told Entertainment Weekly. “We wanted them all caught off guard. Once they’re in that room together, it’s kind of like, ‘Oh, shit, who are you?'”

As for the show’s big bad, it’ll be played by none other than Sigourney Weaver, who has been sworn to secrecy.

“I can’t say much, because they might kill me,” Weaver has teased. “I think everyone I work for might kill me if I tell you anything.

“But I have the most delicious character. She’s really smart, and she’s very in charge.”

Marvel’s The Defenders will air later this year on Netflix, while all episodes of Iron Fist will be available on 17 March.
