Alaska becomes a “regular girl” in parody of Lady Gaga’s Joanne

The library is open, and RuPaul’s Drag Race star Alaska has got Gaga in her sights.

Lady Gaga’s promo for new album Joanne has seen the famously eccentric pop star drop her outrageous outfits and club beats in favour of a stripped back look and a country/rock-inspired sound.

In her latest video, Alaska teaches viewers how to wear their hair like Gaga, do their makeup like Gaga, and cut up their t-shirts like Gaga. She even demonstrates that already-iconic microphone spin from the Perfect Illusion music video.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an Alaska video without a hefty dose of shade, as she consistently reminds viewers that she’s actually “just a regular girl” and name drops the entire track list throughout.
