Gotta catch ’em all? PokéGrindr

Welcome to the world of tomorrow!

Pokémon Go players can now use a dating service to meet up with fellow trainers and potential love interests. So if you’re looking for your very own Misty or Brock, listen up!

Pokédates from Project Fixup, is a way of matching you with someone special to explore the world and play Pokémon Go. It might not be exclusively for gay men, but we’re fairly certain you’ll be able to get your hands on some ample Pokéballs, or at least make some trainer friends / rivals for life – We all know a Gary.

Interested users fill out a survey, detailing their personal preference for a partner as well as listing their availability for Pokédates.

The website then finds a local and mutual Pokéstop or gym and sends both trainers a conformation via email in order to start the date.

The service is only currently available in the US for the time being and costs $20 (£15) a time… A weak pound lets down both the UK and a Pokémon battle.

But your first date is free, so it’s certainly worth giving it a go. You never know, you might Beedrilling all night afterwards… Sorry.
