Years & Years announce huge UK tour: here’s how to get tickets

Years & Years will perform across the UK and Europe later this year with a brand new tour.

The electro-pop trio, who are currently riding high on the critical success of their comeback singles Sanctify and If You’re Over Me, announced their The Palo Santo Tour on Monday 18 June to the excitement of their fans.

Kicking off on 28 November, the tour will feature stops in Glasgow (The SSE Hydro), Manchester (O2 Apollo), Birmingham (Barclaycard Arena), Brighton (Brighton Centre), and London (The O2), before moving on to Ireland and the rest of Europe in 2019.

Tickets for the tour go on sale here on Friday 22 June, but fans who pre-order the album from the official Years & Years website will be able to access a pre-sale one day early on Thursday 21 June at 9am.

Palo Santo – the follow-up to 2015’s Communion – will be released 8 July, and will be accompanied by a short film of a dystopian society populated by androids known as Palo Santo (Spanish for “holy wood”).

It will have 14 tracks in total, including the critically-acclaimed dark-pop track Sanctify, which charted at 25 on the UK Singles Chart last month, and the H&M campaign single, Hypnotized.

The trio also shared the trailer for their short film, which is narrated by the one and only, Dame Judi Dench. She will also star alongside Olly and Vithaya Pansringarm in the Fred Rowson directed clip.

The premise reads: “Palo Santo has also become a city on a distant planet, on which human beings are a rare commodity, worshipped and idolized by an android society. Olly, along with the final humans, is recruited to perform in a series of bizarre erotic cabarets, for an artificial master known only as The Showman.”
