If you were hoping for a new Frank Ocean album anytime soon, you might have a little bit of a wait on your hands.

No, the singer hasn’t gone on hiatus, but rather has signed up for his first major acting role in a new movie to be directed by Michael Kang.

Frank will play a character called Kevin in the forthcoming Ships Passing in the Night, which will also star Hye-Kyo Song and Esther Nam.

“Brad Bang is one of the top male supermodels in the world. Grace Sol is a passionate but fragile actress,” an official synopsis reads.

“Despite their growing, troubled relationship, after a series of rehearsals and one fateful night, Grace falls for Brad, only to realize that despite needing each other, their love is forbidden.”

There’s no release details just yet, but we’re excited to see Frank’s turn on the big screen.

Frank treated his fans on Valentine’s Day earlier this year, when he surprise-released a stunning, laid-back version of the 1960s classic, Moon River.

The song – which was originally performed by Audrey Hepburn for the iconic rom-com, Breakfast at Tiffany’s – won an Academy Award for Best Original Song back in 1961.

It also received Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

It came after the 30-year-old’s last studio album, Blonde, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and the UK Albums Chart back in August 2016, and received widespread acclaim from critics.
