“It’s the story of a young woman named Jane 57821 (Monáe), who is living in a totalitarian near-future society where citizens are referred to as ‘computers.’”

Tessa Thompson is set to continue her role as Janelle Monáe’s love interest for her upcoming “Emotion Picture”.

The American actress – best known for her role as Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok – has so far appeared in three videos for Monáe: Yoga, Make Me Feel and Pynk, the latter of which has been universally acclaimed for its feminist themes.

The 50-minute film will be in support of Monáe’s highly-anticipated third studio album, Dirty Computer.

Its official synopsis reads: “It’s the story of a young woman named Jane 57821 (Monáe), who is living in a totalitarian near-future society where citizens are referred to as ‘computers.’ …

“Dirty Computer explores humanity and what truly happens to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness when mind and machines merge, and when the government chooses fear over freedom.”

Dirty Computer: An Emotion Picture By Janelle Monáe will be broadcast 26 April on MTV, a day before the album’s release.

The film looks like a full cyberpunk extravaganza and we are HERE for it.
