Editor's Letter

The nights are already drawing in (yes, we know we didn’t really have a summer, we’re just going to have to get over it) and new seasons have begun. Not just autumn, obviously, but in fashion and on television. We take a look at both, starting with Doctor Who and outgoing companion Arthur Darvill doing his first ever style shoot exclusively for you. We also went on set for Trollied and talked with the very charming Nick Blood and the very bloody fabulous Stephanie Beacham. So all in all, not a bad month, chatting with stars from Doctor Who, Dallas, Dynasty and Downton Abbey. And don’t even get us started on Game of Thrones’ Lena Headey being generally amazing playing the bad girl in blockbuster Dredd 3D...
Arthur’s swishy fashion shoot aside, we revisit the style of the 90s – yes, they’re back in again – elsewhere in the mag, chat to the people behind London Collections: Men and pick out the must-have bags and fragrances.
We’ve got another new regular feature – we say new, but it actually pays lip service to material from GT’s past. How can we not after nearly 40 years? ‘Letter from’ actually brings the idea up to date, looking at what gay life is currently like around the globe – what rights people have and how being gay affects them on a daily basis.
Hopefully you’ve noticed other tweaks here and there in our continued efforts to keep GT looking fresh. Let us know what you think and what you’d like to see in Gay Times – you can contact all of the team via Twitter, our details are at @gaytimesmag or drop us an email at edit@gaytimes.co.uk.
Play safe and we’ll see you in 30, when it may be colder outside but we’ll definitely be raising your temperature...
