Editor's Letter

I’m incredibly proud of this issue of Gay Times. We strive to better ourselves – well, generally, but particularly with our annual naked issue.

And I think this is definitely our finest yet. So good, in fact, that we decided to make this a very special edition and give you as much as we could from our exclusive shoot.

It’s a joy to be doing this on behalf of Terrence Higgins Trust, a charity that I have a lot of time for personally as well as them always being a pleasure to work with professionally. Please donate – you’ll find a code to download a picture and give £3 with each interview. And next month we’ll be giving everyone the chance to bid on signed, glossy portraits from our shoot to raise even more money.

We listened to everything you said about our previous naked issues – which basically boiled down to ‘we want more pictures’ and ‘show more arse’ and made this our biggest and best naked issue yet.

Being our biggest issue of the year means it’s no small undertaking. No pun intended. It’s months of planning and organising, asking all types of people of all shapes and sizes to take part. But it takes a brave few and not everyone’s keen to disrobe, no matter how much we ask. People even get cold feet on the day – so we can’t necessarily please everyone in one issue.

So that’s why I’m asking you to take part in our next naked project – could you do it? Readers Lives will see GT’s readers strip off and talk honestly about themselves – giving everyone a chance to ‘represent’ how they see fit. Or not fit. We want everyone to take part. Email me on edit@gaytimes.co.uk.

Enjoy, be safe and I’ll see you back here in 30 days (if not via email before…)

Darren Scott
