Editor's Letter

New things. We love ‘em. It feels like there’s been loads of exciting stuff happening since we shook off the gloom of January and 2012 is shaping up to feature lots of fantastic things that – we’ll be honest – make us do a bit of can’t-quite-control-ourselves-clapping.
And, since we’re being honest, we’ll include a few changes here at GT on that list of new things we love.
You might have noticed a few subtle changes in the magazine over the last six months – well subtlety be blowed. When you’ve been around almost 40 years a change does you good, no?
So please join us in welcoming our newest columnist, Ian Watkins. You may know him as H from Steps, but you’ll be getting to know him in the months to come as a father-to-be as he talks us through the surrogacy process he and his partner Craig are going through.
See, one of those changes that goes right back to where GT started in the mid-70s – did we ever think a gay couple would be able to start their own family? Amazing.
If dating, rather than doting, is still your thing then please also welcome The Guyliner to our pages. He’s been on more dates than we’ve featured Debbie Reynolds (so he’s racking them up…) and will be sharing them with us all.
Anonymous he may be, but he’s a genuine single guy on the dating scene – just like many of you. Actually, keep that in mind if you get a date with someone who says they’re a writer.
Add to that our new regular technology section and a page dedicated to all things comics and cult (yes, we’re proud of our geeky side) and it’s been a busy few weeks for us. But oh, then there’s NEXT issue… Better take out a subscription now!
