GMFA Benefit performance of ‘The Pride’

GMFA will receive £10 on tickets booked for The Pride on 25 September

GT, in conjunction with the Trafalgar Transformed season, is presenting a benefit performance of Alexi Kaye Campbell’s award-winning play The Pride on Wednesday 25 September to raise money for London-based HIV charity, GMFA.

Acclaimed by critics and public, alike The Pride stars Hayley Atwell (Captain America, Life of Crime, The Faith Machine, A View from the Bridge), Al Weaver (Inadmissable Evidence, Coram Boy, Hamlet), Harry Hadden-Paton (Posh, She Stoops to Conquer, Flare Path), in an era-spanning masterpiece that compares and contrasts what it was like to be gay in 1958, and 2008.

Brilliantly acted, including some outrageous cameos from Mathew Horne (Gavin and Stacey, Bad Education, Charley’s Aunt) and superbly directed by Jamie Lloyd, The Pride is a must-see for anyone interested in queer history, human relationships, and the changing face of society.

With a plethora of four and five stars reviews, The Pride has been hailed as “thought-provoking, witty and deeply affecting” (The Independent) and “Sheer brilliance” (Gay Times).

The performance on Wednesday 25 September will benefit GMFA, as £10 will be donated to the charity for every ticket sold at £39.50 and £49.50. The money raised will support GMFA’s HIV prevention campaigns, sexual health information websites and FS magazine, which currently receive no statutory funding.

You can book online by entering the promo code GMFA when booking online, or by calling the box office on 0844 871 7632 and quoting ‘GMFA’.

Not only will you be donating to an excellent cause, but you get to see one of the year’s most brilliant plays as well.

Tickets are limited, so to avoid disappointment, book now!
