Get ready for West End Bares

Jane McDonald joins the hottest stars in the West End for a good cause.

West End Bares is surely now one of the most un-missable dates in every theatre and club goers diary. Where else could you see over 100 of the hottest male and female dancers in London, perform amazing choreographed and costumed burlesque performances.

On Sunday September 1st, this not to be missed charity gala in aid of the entertainment industries HIV charity, The Make A Difference Trust, is proud to be hosted by a cavalcade of celebrities including Jane McDonald, Robin Windsor, Lisa Riley, Anita Dobson and Harriet Thorpe. There will – as always be a few surprise faces popping up on the night, but we are keeping that as a surprise!

Now in its 4th year, West End Bares is being presented in association with Nair, and will once again be staged at London’s iconic Café de Paris on Sunday September 1st. Artistic Director Darren Carnall leads 10 of the UK’s top choreographers to present over 100 West End performers, combining the naughtiness of burlesque with the razzle dazzle of Theatreland. This extravagant charity gala night hosts shows at 21:30 and again at midnight, with two electric, not too be missed performances.

In addition West End Bares is also very excited to have a new song commissioned by rising talent Anderson & Petty, which will be performed by West End legend Francis Ruffelle and the West End's hottest Leading man Michael Xavier.

The event will include a catwalk of underwear produced for the charities ‘Pants Project’ that have been spectacularly customised by wardrobe departments from some of the biggest West End shows including: Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. These will be accompanied by pants which have been signed and customised by numerous celebrities including: Rylan Clark, Joanna Lumley, Kate Winslet, Emma Thompson, Graham Norton and Alfie Boe. These will all be auctioned on Ebay after the event.

Steven Inman, Charity Director said: “West End Bares is a great fun way to spend an evening with some of the best talent there is on the West End stage, supported by some of our nation’s favourite names and raising funds for a great cause. We have had fantastic support from our sponsors: Nair, Andrew Christian, MAC AIDS Fund, Prowler Stores, What’s Peen Seen, GT Magazine, Fierce Bingo and Baseline Magazine.

If you haven’t been to this event before, give it a try, you won’t regret it!”
