What's hot for Pride London

GT runs down the top shindigs for Pride London weekend

This weekend is Pride in Londontown! You can expect the West End to be packed with people watching the gays parade, Trafalgar Square to be filled with music and dancing homos, and, obviously, spontaneous celebrations of equality.

Of course, the fun isn't just during the day - you know how us gayers love a party! There are a number of club nights, special events and bar celebrations all over the capital including Backstreet Boys on stage at Heaven, Gutterslut night at East Bloc, and a nine hour marathon Pride party at The Shadow Lounge. Not to mention the Steps themed 'Pasta A La Clara' at Push The Button to get us started Friday night.

Also running will be UK Black Pride taking place at Golden Square in Soho. Usually a seperate event, UK Black Pride comes together with London LGBT Community Pride to help bring the entire community together as one.

Summer Rites: Pride in the Park

And while Central London goes Pride crazy, East London keep up their end of the bargain with Summer Rites: Pride In The Park, also on Saturday 29 June. Once again taking over Shoreditch park, the festival promises to be bigger, better and camper than ever!

The festival boasts 7 different arenas including Urban World and the Cabaret Tent, over 60 different DJs, 5 licensed bars, a funfair and a community market! Atomic Kitten are headlining the event from the Pop Circus tent, while DJ, model, and Ke$ha collaborator Lady Lloyd will be in the cabaret tent, and Jodie Harsh will be bringing dollops of celebrity glam and buff boys to the main stage.
