Entertainment charity, The Make A Difference Trust has announced a stunning line-up for this year’s West End Eurovision competition which takes place at London Dominion’s Theatre on Thursday 23 May.

Having firmly established itself as one of the industry’s most fun and best value-for-money charity galas, (now in its sixth year), sees 10 West End shows go head to head in a competitive frenzy to create a fully costumed and choreographed version of a past Eurovision Song Contest entry.

The shows taking part are Spamalot, Billy Elliot, Wicked, Rock of Ages, Once, Viva Forever, Top Hat, Mamma Mia!, Phantom of the Opera and A Chorus Line.

Joining Strictly Come Dancer and occasional Wizard of Oz, Russell Grant, on this year’s celebrity judging panel are television personalities Jodie Prenger, Lisa Riley and Rylan Clark. 80’s pop sensation Sinitta, Kerry Ellis and Christopher Biggins will also be appearing as celebrity hosts.

And to really make the evening unforgettable, Katrina Leskanich, singer of the last UK winner of the Eurovision Song Contest, will perform live at the event.

TheatreMAD celebrated its twentieth anniversary last year and is a member of the fundraising family of The Make A Difference Trust which brings together the British Entertainment Community and its audiences to raise funds to support people living with HIV and AIDS, and those members of the entertainment industry facing hardship as a result of long term critical illness and who, as a result, are unable to work.

So it’s all in a good cause, and promises once again to be a highlight of the theatrical calendar. Tickets start at just £25 and range to £100 for the full-on VIP treatment.
