Peter Tatchell fundraising gala

Did someone say gala? We’re so there.

Get your fancy shoes on girls, this isn't Gala Bingo you know. We at GT are rather fond of a certain PT (see what we did there?) so we’re totes excited about this fundraiser, which features the likes of Marc Almond and Heather Peace.

The evening, held in Norwich (where they used to film Trisha, no, we’d never heard of it either. Only joking, it’s lovely!) will be compered by Christopher Biggins and guest presenter Michael Cashman MEP. They’ll be joined on stage by Olly Day, Kit and McConnel, with the Simon Brown Orchestra and Miller Dance Centre Dancers featuring World, European and British Latin and Ballroom Champions. It looks like someone called Peter Tatchell is going to be there too (you know, the tireless human rights campaigner who’s spent the past four decades devoting his life to equality for all? Yes, him.) All proceeds from this fundraiser will aid the human rights work of the Peter Tatchell Foundation, a foundation named after, umm… Peter Tatchell.

Peter’s looking forward to having Lip Service star Heather Peace and 80s pop legend (is there any other kind?) Marc Almond perform and says you could make a little weekend break of it in Norwich, if you’re that way inclined. Flood ’em with queers, we say – and do good while you’re at it.

A Night for Equality and Variety, Theatre Royal Norwich 23 June. Tickets on sale here
