Understanding Modern Art
Looking for something to do this weekend, then check out Abstract America: New Painting and Sculpture at the Saatchi Gallery.
The exhibition presents a talented selection of emerging modern artists from the USA. Not really being an art buff I can't say I understood the finer details, but some of it down right weird, from the huge pile of clothes with legs, the family of squashed people, to the old men in wheelchairs lurking in the basement (you'll see what I mean when you get there).
There are thirty-two artists in the exhibition, representing an exciting, and sometimes weirdly disturbing new generation of painters and sculptors. The exhibition is heavily influenced by the new digital age, with artists embracing Photoshop, TV, the internet and many other contemporary influences.
The exhibition is on now for more information click here.
